Facilitate outreach to members of the community and other agencies; meet to discuss issues and offer training during quarterly meetings and biennial Children's Summits;
Offer dropout prevention resources and support in the schools and the community;
Coordinate opportunities for students to envision the future during annual career fairs, virtual job shadowing, risk prevention groups, and service projects;
Provide support for school success through counseling and social services;
Monitor attendance and work with the Department of Social Services and the courts on adherence to compulsory attendance laws.
The dropout documentary is intended to inform the public, particularly students and their parents, about factors that contribute to students dropping out before graduation from high school. The school system has many initiatives aimed at reducing dropouts
